It seems former WWE star Jeff Hardy has some bad karma when he's back in his home state of North Carolina.

Back in 2008, Hardy lost his home to fire. Now, having retired less than two weeks ago from his wrestling career in order to pursue being the headlining star of his own reality television show, the athlete and character actor has been arrested for some fairly serious drug charges.

Although his name is now surging in the national -- rather than simply the wrestling fan blog news, it's a safe bet to say this was not the wisest way to launch his new TV show product (even if it is related to celebrity gossip television).

OOPS.

Perhaps the re-current theme of drug problems and celebrity scandal related to the Hardy brothers are the real reason WWE is seeking to pull the plug on this North Carolina resident's career.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. government is suspending the popular cash-for-clunkers program after dealers warned that all of the $950 million set aside for the plan could be claimed in a few days.

A congressional official speaking on condition of anonymity said Obama administration officials were alerting Congress to the move this evening.

The plan offering owners of old cars and trucks $3,500 or $4,500 toward a new, more efficient vehicle has proven wildly popular, with 22,782 trades certified by federal officials since Monday. But the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration told dealers Wednesday that a “vast majority” of transactions submitted were being rejected for incomplete or illegible paperwork.

A survey of 2,000 dealers by the National Automobile Dealers Association, the results of which were obtained by the Free Press, found about 25,000 deals not yet approved by NHTSA, or about 13 trades per store. With 23,005 dealers asking to be part of the program, auto dealers may have already arranged the sale of more than the 250,000 vehicles that federal officials expected the plan to generate.

The details of the scoop about the Wonderland Estate and Michael Jackson's home shopping experience are being released slowly but surely. According to Splash News, "Michael Jackson desperately wanted to buy a sprawling Las Vegas estate that he planned to call 'Wonderland', it has been claimed. The cash-strapped singer is said to have fallen in love with the 10-acre property, which boasts secret tunnels, a 20-car garage and a waterfall in the garden."

However, rumor circulating through the real estate offices in the neighborhoods back then indicated Jackson couldn't yet afford the $25 million property's high market value price tag. According to the report, MJ he hoped his comeback gigs at London's 02 Arena would leave him with enough cash to snap it up - after he abandoned his beloved Californian Neverland ranch.

In a feature interview, real estate agent Zar Zanganeh, the person who actually took Michael Jackson on a tour of the ultra-luxe Vegas grand palace-like home said: "He loved it. He said he could do anything he wanted there, like in Neverland." Zanganeh added he gave Jacko and his children a tour of the 10-bedroom, 19-bathroom home in 2007. He said that his kids, Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11 and Blanket seven, were especially fond of the 1,000-square-foot secret play area tucked under the waterfall.

According to the real estate files from and about the house's previous residents, the play space was built by the owner, casino developer Gary Primm, for his own children.

Robert Plant, who was involved with a serious auto accident in July of 2009, is not the only legendary performance artist to be making special celebrity guest star appearances at car crash scenes and wrecks around the world. Apparently, the ghost of recently deceased singer Michael Jackson is also on the loose and making a celeb appearance peering into car windows along the roadsides of a highway near you.

In other weird celebrity news involving accidents, last week Ivana Janecek, aged 22, from London (UK) reported to very reliable news sources *cough* that the ghost of Michael Jackson saved her life.

Yep. Right after the ghost got through helping the gal avoid the crash, he flew back to the United States to try to recapture and sew back on his shadow that is apparently darting quickly about at Neverland Ranch.

According to AllNewsWeb.com, Janecek wrote in to share her car accident story of the paranormal, claiming:

‘I have always been a big fan of Michael Jackson and of course was devastated when he died. I felt the world lost someone very special too soon.’

‘Yesterday I was running to get home in time for an engagement. I foolishly ran to cross a street in order to get on a bus. As I ran onto the road I clearly saw Michael on the other side he was wearing a typical outfit, his smile, hair, it was him.’

‘I stopped immediately in shock a few meters from edge of the road and a speeding car skidded just in front of me and then moved on. I looked across the road and Michael was gone. If he hadn’t been there I know that car would have hit me.’

‘I really believe Michael Jackson saved my life.’

Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame has crashed and totaled his luxury sports car in an ironic twist of Rock Star fate. The collision brought two speeding vehicles head to head on winding back roads of England in what surely must have looked like a scene from "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" -- you remember... the Walt Disney ride and exhibit that angry Christians and Mothers Against Drunk Drivers made the theme park close down for promoting excessive speed in cars, reckless driving, driving while intoxicated, and driving under the influence as Mr. Toad got his game face on and whipped around the dark and seedy London areas and stoned countryside? ROBERT PLANT OF LED ZEPPELIN INVOLVED IN SERIOUS CAR ACCIDENT The Led Zeppelin Examiner at Examiner.com writes, According to publications in the United Kingdom like The Sun and The Telegraph, Robert Plant was in a car accident with a drugs counselor in northwest London. The counselor, one Richard Grant, was driving his Mercedes SL 300 when it collided with Plant’s Audi A8 on the evening of July 2. It is uncertain who was at fault for the smash. Drug counselor Grant is quoted as saying, "I was unconscious for a little while and then I saw him standing there. I was pretty groggy when I saw him, but later on the officers told me who it was," Grant said. "I went to hospital for five hours and luckily there were no broken bones, but I was badly bruised on the arm and had whiplash.” When asked about the accident and the state of the cars, Grant said, "My Merc is smashed up and I'm not in a good way." If the driver is hurt for real, let's hope he does not sue Plant. Maybe he could sign his cast and wrecked car to turn the automobile into a classic Led Zeppelin memorabilia item he could sell instead of being litigious and hiring ambulance chaser lawyers to help him pull a penny away from the unlucky celeb. More so, we hope that Mr. Plant himself is not injured seriously and is doing well.

ODD NEWS: IRONIC TWIST

Sadly, I did not see Robert Plant standing over my last car accident appearing as Jesus or the Rock God that he is... so in this writer's opinion, Grant should consider himself fortunate to be hit in this "Celebrity OOPS" accident and to meet the star like he did. Of all the people in the world to collide into a famous drug user, this counselor certainly must have had his subconscious radar on to find the rock-n-roll icon so well remembered for his use of drugs, with many of the preferred ones being marijuana, LSD, psychedelic mushrooms, and really high quality coke. Talk about a way to create a bonding experience story to help set your patience at ease when you are doing psych work with them... [The band even hired a 'Cocaine Lady' to travel with them on tour back in the stone ages of 1960s and 1970s rock history. That was even a Celebrities Gone Wild maneuver back in the day when excessive partying was part of common culture for many people everyday.]

Okay, so popular Bollywood actress Priety Zinta did not adopt an entire village, but she did outdo global rival actress Angelina Jolie with a magnanimous act of parenting heroics recently. Celebrity Zinta adopted 34 children -- yes, I said it right -- thirty four children from Mother Miracle Orphanage in India acccording to The Times of India. The fiscally secure brunette with the alluring smile apparently has a heart of gold and the patience of Job as well as her stunning good looks. She's adopted the parcel and plans to continue to adopt a few more children each year to help make a political statement and end the rampant orphan population probmen in India. The actress does not expect to take full custody of the children; she will, however, be their financial parent and wondermom guardian. Should the next country the Jolie-Pitt crew visit to pick up their next patch of children be from this Brit-infused location? In this writer's humble opinion, with so many stunning beauties and handsome gents from the nation of India, Angie and Brad's bunch could start their own acting troop covering all the gorgous colors of the rainbow if they added a little bambino or older child from here (though they still would need to pick themselves up and save a red-headed stepchild from somewhere). Cheers to Priety Zinta, Brangelina INC, foster families, adopting parents, grandparents doing all the work or footing the bill to help raise storng-healthy-and-secure kids, and noble single moms and dad's making a positive difference in the lives of a child they parent or car for everywhere!

In my opinion, the hottest sports car making headway in the green exotics market right now that is the most fun to drive is the newly converted Lotus Elise being retro-manufactured by the inspired and inspiring car company Tesla. However, the car body itself presents some serious ergonomic and spacial challenges to many individuals who would otherwise love to drive a hot little exotic.

Take the "Terminator" California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, for example. He, who is proud to support Tesla manufacturing in the celebrity-rich state, may be one shining example of a person making poor consumer spending decisions… as a man who may have bought something that does not fit.

The Tesla Roadster is a little too little for Mr. Maria Shriver. Had he endorsed the product and bought the tiny exotic sports car model for her to zip back and forth solo to Tennis games, we would not have anything to say. However, as big as he is, the celebrity action hero needs to use his entire cinematic stunt repertoire of postural athletic training to get in and out of the low and "unforgiving access" vehicle. [Picture in your head the Cyborg running man trying to squeeze into a clown car or to perch atop a roller skate and you'll quickly understand why we think the car choice, though noble, was a celebrity OOPS to make.

It might have been a better fiscal decision to wait for the right model fit for his frame to be made, like the new Tesla S coming in 2010. As the new sedan will offer seven passengers seating, the way we measure, it will probably hold Arnold, his Kennedy gene bride, and maybe three suitcases (or another couple if they are heading out on a double date).

Could this shopping blunder give us all a glimpse of why the great state of California is going broke today? Because they bought that size 2 when they really wear a size 8?

Celebrity Thomas Jane, star of the major motion picture "The Punisher", husband to wife Rosanna Arquette, and new front man for the HBO hit series "HUNG" is one of the latest to be caught by the California Highway Police in a celebrity OOPS incident (the real CHP "Chips guys" -- for those of us who are old enough to remember from Paunch and John TV days with a smiling and tan Eric Estrada). According to TMZ who began reporting on the story back when Jane was first arrested in 2008, The Punisher" star's lawyer was in court [this Spring]... defending Jane against charges of DUI and driving with a suspended license. Thomas Jane [just is one of] the latest driving-challenged celeb to be hit with a DUI...pleaded not guilty to all charges in a Kern County, Calif. courtroom. The CHP pulled over [the Hung star] back in 2008 after they say he was hauling ass on the freeway in a late-model Maserati. Cops say he flunked several field sobriety tests. Reports of Jane's drinking problems began to come out in 2007 after the actor, while hosting an introductory segment on the "SCREAM" awards seemed to be intoxicated. Court records from 2009 indicated that at the time Jane was arrested, he was driving on a suspended license. Even smarter, the star's blood alcohol level was above the .08 legal limit. Even wilder, Jane was caught on the freeway doing a buck twenty in his smoking hot, drop dead sexy big boy toy, a Maserati Quattroporte sedan. That's why the story caught our attention. Oh dear – what a celebrity OOPS in the image department. Poor Pamela Anderson; the aging star trying so hard to cling to her celebrity youth is beginning to lose her sex appeal. She's made the creepy old lady/Tammy Faye Baker mistake of drawing on her eyebrows in what could be something more permanent than a sharpie marker. Shown here in this photo with what appears to be new Botox lips, about 8 pounds of foundation make-up, mineral veil glitter glam, and lush-and-lengthy glue on lash extensions, the seasoned starlet is really showing what too many years of hard living and plastic surgery enhancements can do. However, Pamela Anderson being over done in the make-up department is not something new; what is surprising is the up close look we get of the Baywatch beauty's eyebrows. And we shudder in sad disappointment while we gaze at the new 40 something. It looks like something has frightened the blonde bombshell – and the shocked look is one that either she herself or her (possibly drunk) Estheticians seem to have drawn on… but wait! There's more. Look even more closely and you'll see it seems the arching brows seem to be without hair and entirely paint. Are those eyebrow tattoos she's sporting to help make her more waterproof and beach worthy? We certainly hope not, as another 15 more years of nip and tuck on the voluptuous vixen might stretch them all the way up her forehead until they come to meet with her wig extensions.
